“…The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) said it recorded its highest ever monthly revenue of N140.4 billion in August 2018.The Customs Public Relations Officer, Mr Joseph Attah revealed this on Tuesday in Abuja.
“…Nigerian Integrated Customs Information System II, NICIS II, adopted by the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, for trade facilitation and tariff processing may be yielding positive results, as Customs’s revenue went up by 14 per cent in the first half of 2018.
“…According to the Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Customs Service, Joseph Attah, a deputy controller of Customs, NICIS II gives traders the opportunity to reduce operational costs and turnaround time by speeding up and simplifying customs processes.
“…Meet the new Nigerian Integrated Customs Information System, or NICIS II for short. Simply put, it is a new system that automates business and customs processes involving all governmental and business stakeholders.
“…NICIS II is a real improvement for trade stakeholders, who can now access a modern web interface anytime, anywhere, across a variety of platforms, and benefit from automation and speeding up of processing. Upgraded offices, they disclosed, were already seeing a dramatic drop in clearance time.
