In addition to the state-of-the-art PCS IT platform that allows the automation of all logistics related business processes, Webb Fontaine implementation process provide an efficient and collaborative methodology to optimise business processes before their implementation in the system ensuring the success of the project.
Providing a 100% paperless environment to the logistics community and connectivity between all stakeholders (public and private), the PCS fluidify the trade related processes allowing faster processing time and better information exchanges.
By monitoring and linking in real time both documentary and operations processes, the PCS provide a transparent work environment to the logistics community and, more importantly, to Customs Authority thanks to its interoperability with the Customs Management System.
The PCS thanks to streamline automated process and real time exchange of information allows the logistics stakeholders to anticipate every steps of the logistics flow to manage more efficiently the movement of goods.
Webb Ports, our Port Community System Software, manages interactions between systems used by port authorities, Customs, and terminal operators, from data exchange and logistics through billing and payment.
The e-Voyage module enables shipping lines to communicate with the port authority on vessel arrival and berthing plus various services provided by the port.
Carriers can load, edit and manage manifest data through the eManifest system using the EDI CUSCAR format. Manifest is shared directly with the port authority and is registered in the Customs system.
The Port Community System Software’s e-Movement module provides complete monitoring of containers operations carried out on import and export goods. Physical movements, instructions and status changes are recorded, updated and visualised in a totally transparent way. eMovement is connected with the Customs system to report on requirement for examination and payment, it also exchanges EDI information (e.g. COARRI) with cargo handlers and delivers release orders (e.g. COREOR)
The eRelease module is able to calculate all port associated fees using configurable taxation rules applied to both the waybill and the Customs declaration. These rules also set the mandatory requirement of specific authorizations such as the Terminal Delivery Order and the carrier Delivery Order obtained through interfacing with Port Community Systems and port proprietary systems.
The e-Payment solution enables the electronic payment of all eRelease calculated fees into a unique bill comprising Customs declaration duties and taxes, port logistics fees such as services, demurrage charges and handling costs. Once payment is completed and all authorizations have reached eRelease, the containers can be released.
The e-Booking module allows traders to book containers and organise exports of goods.
A Port Community System that optimises and automates the entire logistics chain and establishes a collaborative environment for public and private logistics stakeholders, to enhance their productivity and reduce cargo transit time for all modes of transport.
