From 14 to 16 April 2026, we sponsored TRACIT in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, joining Customs authorities from across Latin America with an exhibition presence and a speaking slot.
The event focused on a shared challenge: how to strengthen the fight against illicit trade, and how emerging technologies can make a real difference. Illicit trade undermines public revenue, legitimate business and public safety, and those behind it are constantly adapting.
In our session, our Global Head of Sales, Marek Retelski, addressed the transformative potential of agentic AI in Customs enforcement. Agentic AI goes beyond flagging risks: it can carry out tasks, connect information across sources and support officers in acting on it. We showed how this can lead to smarter risk management and faster decision-making at the border, helping Customs focus resources where the threat is greatest.
The energy and commitment in the room were outstanding, and the discussions showed a strong appetite across the region for practical, technology-driven approaches to enforcement.
Thank you to the organisers and to everyone who joined us in Rio. We look forward to continuing these conversations with our partners across Latin America.
