In April 2026, as a trusted partner of Central African Customs, we were honoured to be invited, through our Director General, to the launch ceremony of an exchange workshop for the female personnel of the Defence and Security Forces of the Central African Republic.
The workshop was held under the theme "Synergy, Leadership and Empowerment for Integrated Security". It brought together women serving across the country's defence and security institutions to share experience and strengthen their role in national security.
The event highlighted the vital role of collaboration, leadership and inclusion in building stronger national security institutions. Integrated security depends on agencies working together, and on making full use of the skills and perspectives of everyone who serves in them.
For us, the invitation reflects our partnership with Central African Customs. Customs plays a central part in a country's security as well as its economy, controlling what crosses its borders and collecting the revenue that funds public services. Supporting the people who carry out that work is part of building effective institutions.
We were proud to attend, and we thank the organisers for their invitation. We congratulate the participants and look forward to seeing the results of the workshop in the months ahead.
