From 8 to 10 April 2026, we attended the 9th meeting of the WCO-WCA Regional Working Group in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where Customs administrations from West and Central Africa came together.
During the dedicated partners' session, our Senior VP of Sales, Ludovic Thanay, presented concrete use cases of Webb Fontaine ZERØ to Customs authorities from across the region. ZERØ, launched earlier this year at the WCO Technology Conference, allows Customs administrations to build, modify and create their own systems simply by interacting with AI, without writing a single line of code.
For Customs administrations, this opens up new possibilities. Changes that once depended on long development cycles can now be shaped directly by the people who understand the need best. That means faster adaptation to new regulations and trade patterns, and greater ownership of the systems that support daily operations.
The partners' session gave participants a practical view of how this works, and sparked valuable discussion on how AI can support Customs modernisation across the WCA region.
We thank Cameroon Customs for their warm hospitality, and the Vice-Presidency of the region for fostering important exchanges with member countries. We look forward to continuing our work with administrations across West and Central Africa.
