From 4 to 7 May 2026, we attended the 32nd WCO-WCA Conference of Directors General and the Committee of Experts in Sierra Leone.
On 4 May, on the sidelines of the conference, we took part in the inaugural Regional Private Sector Group (RPSG) Meeting of the WCO West and Central Africa (WCA) region. We are proud that Webb Fontaine, represented by our Senior Vice President, Ludovic Thanay, was elected to chair the RPSG.
The RPSG brings the private sector into dialogue with Customs administrations across the region. In this role, we will help shape how the private sector contributes to the region's Customs agenda, and work closely with Directors General and stakeholders on the priorities that matter most for trade.
The appointment reflects our continued commitment to supporting the Directors General of Customs across the WCA region in their modernisation efforts, through innovation, collaboration and technology. We see it as an opportunity to deepen our partnership with administrations and the wider trade community.
We sincerely thank the National Revenue Authority (NRA) of Sierra Leone and the Office of the Vice-Chair of the WCO-WCA region for their trust and support. We look forward to helping advance smarter and more efficient trade ecosystems across West and Central Africa.
