Webb Fontaine Successfully Completes National Rollout of Customs Management System in Benin

Webb Fontaine, a leading provider of AI-powered trade and customs solutions, has officially completed the migration of Benin’s national Customs Management System from ASYCUDA to its advanced Webb Customs platform. The system is now fully operational across all sea ports, airports, and land border offices which is a major milestone in the digital transformation of Benin’s trade landscape.

The nationwide migration was completed in just 1 year and 2 months, with no disruption to Customs operations or the trading community. The transition was carried out to ensure continuous service delivery without delays or interruptions.

Key outcomes since the launch of Customs Webb in Benin:

• Over 100,000 Customs declarations processed

• More than 200,000 payments successfully completed

• Over 100,000 vehicle pass documents issued

• 800 active users registered on the platform

• 95 organisations currently using the system

Since 2016, the Beninese government has aimed to position the country as the digital services hub of West Africa. With ambitions to become one of the most technologically advanced business environments in the region, Benin chose Webb Fontaine to support its national digitalisation agenda. In 2018, Webb Fontaine successfully launched the Guichet Unique du Commerce Extérieur. The implementation of Webb Customs is yet another milestone that reflects Benin's commitment to achieving its digital vision.
