Webb Fontaine participated in the 2013 WCO ICT Conference co-hosted by Dubai Customs and held at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. The theme for this edition of the conference was: “Effective Solutions for Coordinated Border Management” and it attracted a record number of delegates. WCO reports in its website that 1,000 participants from 93 countries and 56 Customs administrations attended, including 14 Directors General of Customs, other governmental agencies and the private sector.
Webb Fontaine had a double booth on the main exhibition area where we received distinguished visitors from different nationalities both from public and private sectors. Our participation was consolidated with a 30 minutes Tech Talk on Trade portal services and enhanced clearance system for efficient Border Management Control; and the moderation of Day 2’s Round Table 2: “Facilitation through Business Integration. Can businesses work with Customs the same way as they do with other agencies at the border?”
Following the success of this conference, Webb Fontaine looks forward to attending the next edition that will take place in Melbourne, Australia.
