Webb Fontaine Guinea organized a live workshop in collaboration with Guinean Customs Authorities
On Tuesday August 17th, 2021, Webb Fontaine Guinea in charge of the implementation of the Guinean Single Window (GUCEG) and the Guinean Customs Authorities organized a workshop with clearing agents, business leaders and other foreign trade stakeholders.
This workshop, which was held in person and broadcasted live online was intended to discuss the functionality of online payment of customs’ duties and taxes on the GUCEG’s platform, implemented August 1st, 2021.
The exchanges, which lasted more than an hour allowed to allay the concerns of some stakeholders, to share the issues encountered by users and to gather recommendations for improvements, but above all to raise awareness among the stakeholders to the benefits of adhering to the functionality in order to facilitate their work and save time.
As a reminder, online payment on the GUCEG’s platform has been available since February 01st, 2021 with the payment of the DDI / DDE levies.
