Webb Fontaine sponsors the Latin America Ports Forum in Panama

On 9 and 10 September 2026, we sponsored the 11th Latin America Ports Forum in Panama City, Panama, with an exhibition presence and a speaking slot. The forum is a key platform for sharing experience on digital transformation, interoperability, operational efficiency and cybersecurity across the port sector.

Our VP of Sales for Latin America, José Luis Plazas Niño, joined the panel "Digital Transformation, Interoperability and Cybersecurity", where the discussion highlighted the importance of integrated and collaborative port ecosystems.

A key point: effective digital transformation is not only about technology. It combines new tools with a clear review of processes and procedures. Strong data governance is equally important, so that information is reliable, consistent and accessible to everyone across the port community.

This is the thinking behind Webb Ports, our Port Community System. Webb Ports connects authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines and logistics providers on one platform. It enables secure information exchange, improves operational visibility and helps reduce processing times, duplication and manual work.

By bringing port stakeholders and operations together, Webb Ports creates a connected port community ready for greater automation, interoperability and operational intelligence.
Thank you to the organisers and to everyone who joined us in Panama City.
