Description of services provided
Webb Fontaine has been operating Destination Inspection services in Ghana since 2010 over 15% of the imports. This initiative involves a number of capacity building programmes for Customs, undertaken both in Manila on the use of classification and valuation methodologies through Webb Fontaine ValueWebb software.
The program aims at evaluating price values of imports from selected countries of supply using our valuation and classification centre based in Manila, Philippines as well as our local resources in Ghana (32 administrative and operational staff).
Risk Management provided by Webb Fontaine on these entries is further used by Customs.
Webb Fontaine have generated an increase in revenue by 27 % over the past year on the portion of declarations processed by the company.
Webb Fontaine processes pre-lodgment declarations, evaluates classification and value, calculates duties and taxes, triggers risk assessment and sends the declaration to the Customs system. Operational 3 months after contract signature.
